Using 4D Server, client applications can be installed on an unlimited number of Windows and/or macOS machines. The number of machines allowed to connect to the server concurrently is limited by the number of Client Expansion licenses.

In other words, you need to license the maximum (peak) number of users connected simultaneously to a 4D Server. You do not need to purchase a license for every employee or computer, which is a great advantage compared to a named-user model.

Additional concurrent users can be added to your 4D Server by buying a 4D Client Expansion pack. They are available in 1-, 5- and 10-unit packs.

4D View Pro adds value to 4D applications, offering integrated spreadsheet capabilities and a comprehensive set of enhanced data-viewing features.

Spreadsheet functions include calculations, projections, and analyses; data-viewing features allow the programming of dynamic input interfaces and calculation lists, printable lists, and more.
